Swegas holds this small Bavarian town close to its heart. The band played two concerts here to wonderful audiences. But apart from the enthusiastic loyalty of the people of Günzburg there is a particular reason why these concerts stay in the bands memory. In July 1971 one of the gigs was recorded by a fan and this remains the only live recording of the band. More...


2017 South German newspaper article

A newspaper article sent to Nick Ronai by Bernd Cronemeyer, Swegas' roadie in 1970. The main thrust of the article is that Germany couldn't get enough of English bands in those heady days. A readable pdf version of this is available in document section. (Translation to follow)
